The Globe is very conveniently situated a short walk from the town marketplace with its shops and delightful cafes.

We’re very easy to find, are open every day and welcome children and dogs.

Coming from the A382 (A30 Whiddon Down – Newton Abbot)
Turn South West onto the B3206 and travel into the centre of Chagford. Once you reach the Market Square with the iconic “Pepper Pot” in the centre, turn left. The Inn is about 50 metres along on your right.

Parking There is free on-street parking outside the Globe. This is limited to a 2 hour stay between 09.00 to 17.00 Monday-Saturday  but is unrestricted on Sundays and overnight. There is a Pay-and-Display car park 50 metres East of the Inn.

Attractions

There are many great things to see and do in this glorious part of Devon. Chagford is surrounded by the Moor itself, so you can begin your walks from the very centre of town. Well-behaved dogs are widely welcomed throughout the area, and we have dog-friendly rooms ath the Globe Inn, so the whole family can enjoy their holiday.

Dartmoor holds many wonders whether for walkers, riders or drivers. A little further afield are the North and South coasts with lovely towns and beaches to visit.
