    I ordered vegan mushroom and spinach pie. I honestly didn't expect a lot but it was amazing, clearly homemade with delicious puff pastry and super crispy and 'proper' thrice cooked chips! Presentation was upper end of any pub food I've had.

    Service was perfect and my dog was accommodated too."

    "Stayed here for 2 nights. Shown to our room which was lovely overlooking the old church. Bed very comfortable and everything in the room that you would need for an enjoyable stay. Our first evening we dined in, and both had the steak and ale pie. It was scrummy and presented really nicely. Second night we had the chicken and chorizo, yet again a very tasty well- presented meal. Top marks to the chef!. Breakfast was fab."

    “(We had) fish & chips and two vegan mushroom and spinach pies, with chips, veg and a lovely sauce. Being vegan you’re limited as most places do risotto or tagliatelle. But this pie was delicious and the service was terrific. The waiters knew what they were doing, both very professional and polite. Will definitely go back next time we come.”
